Join the panel of Appetite wine experts in a round of blind tasting and evaluation of these wines at an exclusive wine dinner presented by Pasha’s culinary team. Thereafter, sit down to a sumptuous, multi-course Moroccan dinner served with a selection of fine wine. The results you contribute to this round of evaluation will be tabulated with the panel’s findings to identify the top three wines that will go on to win an award at the Appetite Wine Awards 2012. Citrus, melon, lime, peach and stone fruit on the nose. Nice texture with medium to high acidity; good balance and vibrancy with delicate notes of crème fraîche. Good concentration, light and subtle.

Mint, blackcurrant and black fruit with spice, pollen, lavender and floral notes. Dry entry with a juicy palate. Exciting and uplifting wine with characters of black pepper and a saline taste. Good length; enjoyable now.

Attractive floral notes with mandarin orange, lemongrass and mixed fruit aromas. Slightly dry on the entry, with good fruit intensity and ripeness. Nice volume with lovely concentration and some complexity. Elegant with some saline characters; good depth and quality.

Red fruit, olive, balsamic, berries, liquorice, dark chocolate and tar characters. Rich and intense; quite juicy on the palate with medium-plus acidity. Firm and medium-bodied. Quite ripe, elegant and very bold.

Refreshing scents of crushed grapes, marzipan, lychee and gummy bears. Uplifting palate with good balance and a creamy mousse. Rather high acidity; easy-drinking and enjoyable.

Citrus, tangerine and mandarin orange flavours with a touch of florals. Nice entry with good intensity; slightly voluminous with good fruit concentration and high acidity. Reminds one of a refreshing morning garden walk.
Elena Walch Gewurztraminer DOC 2010
Top Wines $56
Very rich in lychee aromas, with some ripe stone fruit, rose water and burnt rubber. High acidity with a wide flavour spectrum and good texture. A little heavy and high in alcohol.
