| Wok-fried King Prawns with Butter |
Serves 3 - 4
Needs 30 minutes
Ingredients
4 to 6 king prawns
4 Tbsp vegetable oil
50 g softened butter
1/2 Tbsp chopped garlic
1 Tbsp water
30 g mozzarella cheese
Salt and sugar, to taste
1/2 Tbsp chicken stock powder
Some chopped scallions
Steps
1) Cut open the shells on the back of king prawns with a sharp knife. Devein and wash prawns thoroughly under running water.
2) Heat oil in a wok, add prawns and stir-fry until they turn pink. Remove from wok and set aside.
3) Re-heat wok and add butter. Toss in chopped garlic and sauté until fragrant. Add cooked prawns and gently stir-fry.
4) Add water, cheese, a pinch of salt and sugar, and chicken stock powder. Cook over high heat, stirring until the sauce thickens.
5) Toss well to coat the king prawns with the cheese, then add chopped scallions, more salt and sugar to taste.
6) Dish out and serve immediately.
